Terms of Use

Welcome to Cartoona ("we," "our," or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the Cartoona mobile application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Cartoona, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) and that you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Cartoona is an AI-powered mobile application that transforms your photos into anime and cartoon-style artwork using artificial intelligence. The App offers both free and premium features, including:

  • Free credits for photo-to-anime transformations
  • Earning additional credits by watching rewarded ads
  • Weekly, monthly, and yearly subscription plans for premium access and expanded credit allowances

3. User Accounts & Device Identity

Cartoona does not require email registration. Your identity is associated with your device. You are responsible for maintaining access to your device. We are not liable for any loss of credits or content resulting from loss of device access, device reset, or uninstallation of the App.

4. Credits & Subscriptions

4.1 Credits

Credits are used to generate anime-style artwork. Credits:

  • Are non-transferable and have no cash value
  • May not be exchanged for real money or other items of monetary value
  • Are granted on a per-device basis
  • May expire or be adjusted if your subscription lapses

4.2 Subscriptions

Premium subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. By purchasing a subscription:

  • Payment will be charged to your App Store or Google Play account
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
  • You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your device's Account Settings
  • No refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription period, except as required by applicable law

We reserve the right to modify subscription prices. Price changes will be communicated in advance and will take effect upon your next renewal.

4.3 Rewarded Ads

You may earn credits by watching rewarded advertisements. Ad availability depends on third-party ad networks and is not guaranteed. We reserve the right to adjust credit rewards at any time.

5. User Content

When you upload photos to Cartoona:

  • You retain all rights to the original photos you submit
  • You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process those photos solely for the purpose of providing the transformation service
  • We do not store your original photos beyond the time needed to perform the transformation
  • You confirm that you have the right to use the photos you upload and that they do not infringe any third-party rights

You must not upload photos that:

  • Depict minors in an inappropriate manner
  • Are sexually explicit or violate applicable laws
  • Infringe the intellectual property rights of others
  • Contain personal data of others without their consent

6. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App
  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to manipulate, hack, or gain unauthorized access to the App's systems or databases
  • Use automated scripts or bots to artificially generate credits or circumvent limitations
  • Resell or redistribute content generated by the App for commercial purposes without our express written permission

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, graphics, interfaces, and code within Cartoona are the property of Cartoona and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. The AI-generated artwork produced by the App is provided for your personal, non-commercial use only.

8. Privacy

Your use of Cartoona is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you consent to the data practices described therein.

Key points:

  • We collect device identifiers, usage analytics, and subscription status
  • We do not sell your personal data to third parties
  • Photos you upload are processed and not retained beyond the transformation process

9. Third-Party Services

Cartoona integrates with third-party services including:

  • RevenueCat — subscription and payment management
  • Google AdMob — rewarded advertisements
  • Supabase — backend data storage
  • Apple App Store / Google Play Store — payment processing

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties.

10. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee:

  • That the App will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • That AI-generated results will meet your expectations
  • That credits, subscriptions, or features will remain unchanged

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Cartoona and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of credits, data, or revenue.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify users of material changes via the App or App Store update notes.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at our discretion, including if we believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in fraudulent activity.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Turkey. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Turkey.
